You are going to crave this latte - It's where flavor meets health. It is warm, yummy, and especially satisfying knowing it's loaded with antioxidants and other healing properties. So drink up and enjoy - cuz we just elevated your morning routine.

Ingredients
-
6 oz of brewed coffee by Yonder
-
1 scoop Yonder Collagen
1 tablespoon of sugar (or to taste)
2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon of ground ginger
¼ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
¾ teaspoon of turmeric
4 oz of coconut milk (or milk of choice)
Whipped Cream (Optional)
A saucepan (or microwave)
Directions
Start by brewing up a fresh cup of Yonder coffee—any of our organic and mycotoxin-free varieties will perfectly complement the spices in this Thai-inspired latte. While it’s brewing, start on the next step — the milk & spices.
In a sauce pan, (If microwaving - see below), combine your milk of choice, *sugar, spices, and vanilla.
Allow to simmer for about 3 minutes, give it an occasional whisk. Be careful not to scorch the milk.
*Note: Feel free to opt for a healthier sugar substitute like Allulose, Organic Stevia, Maple Syrup, Honey, or Coconut Sugar to suit your taste. I like this drink sweet due to all the spices so I prefer using Allulose and a little maple syrup.
Microwave Option: If time is an issue, heat milk in the microwave, remove and then add in spices, sugar and collagen. Blend with a hand frother.
Once your delightful concoction is warm and aromatic, while frothing, add in your collagen until it reaches that luxurious foamy consistency.
Note: A wand frother is your trusty sidekick for this task, but if you're without one, a blender, hand mixer, or even a lidded glass jar for some good old-fashioned shaking will do the trick.
Pour your coffee into a mug, then stir in the frothed milk.
Note: This is a bold and spicy coffee, so add more sweetener and milk as needed. You can top off your beverage with whipped cream and for an extra dash of spice, sprinkle a pinch of ground turmeric and ground cinnamon on top.
Recipe Note
But wait, there's more to this delicious journey! This isn't just your average sweet & spicy coffee, this coffee has the added benefits of collagen and turmeric. Incorporating turmeric into your diet offers a handful of health benefits, thanks to its active compound, curcumin:
Anti-Inflammatory: Turmeric wields potent anti-inflammatory properties, potentially reducing the risk of chronic diseases.
Antioxidant: Curcumin in turmeric acts as a strong antioxidant, protecting cells from oxidative stress.
Joint Health: It may alleviate symptoms of osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis.
Heart Health: Turmeric supports heart health by improving blood vessel function, reducing cholesterol levels, and lowering blood pressure.
Digestive Aid: It stimulates bile production and enhances overall gut health.
Brain Health: Curcumin has potential cognitive benefits, possibly reducing the risk of neurodegenerative diseases.
Cancer Prevention: Some studies suggest turmeric's anti-cancer properties (though more research is needed).
Mood Enhancement: It may improve mood and reduce symptoms of depression (but it shouldn't replace professional treatment).
Weight Management: Turmeric can aid in weight loss by promoting fat loss and reducing inflammation associated with obesity.
Just remember, moderation is key when adding turmeric to your diet. While it's generally safe when used as a spice in cooking, there are a few things to keep in mind:
Digestive Issues: Consuming excessive turmeric may lead to stomach upset or diarrhea in some individuals, so enjoy your Thai Latte responsibly.
Blood-Thinning Effects: Turmeric can have mild blood-thinning effects, which could be an issue for those on blood-thinning medications or with bleeding disorders. Consult your healthcare professional if you're concerned.
Gallbladder Issues: Turmeric may exacerbate gallbladder problems in some individuals, so if you have gallstones or related conditions, consult a doctor.
Allergies: Allergic reactions to turmeric are rare but possible. If you experience any signs of an allergic reaction, seek medical attention.
Interactions with Medications: Turmeric supplements or high dietary quantities may interact with certain medications, so consult your healthcare provider if you're taking these drugs.
Pregnancy and Breastfeeding: Turmeric supplements aren't recommended during pregnancy and breastfeeding, as their safety hasn't been firmly established.
In conclusion, our Thai Turmeric Collagen Latte is not just a delightful coffee treat for fall—it's a flavorful journey with potential health benefits.
So, go ahead, indulge in the exotic charm of this warm and spicy brew, and sip your way into cozy autumn vibes.
Cheers to a season of flavor and well-being!
