Beat the heat this summer with a cool treat infused with Yonder’s ultra-clean collagen! This spin on traditional ice cream spares us the added sugar and pasteurized dairy that can jeopardize our health. At my house, “nice cream” is both kid and mom approved as a delicious, healthy dessert!

Ingredients
- 2 ripe frozen bananas
- 1 heaping cup frozen strawberries
- 1/3 cup canned coconut milk (or nut milk of your choice)
-
1 scoop Yonder Flavorless Collagen
I like to keep frozen bananas in the freezer for smoothies and nice cream. When my bananas start to get brown spots, I just peel them, break into 3 chunks, put them in a zippered baggie, and toss in the freezer. I also keep bags of blueberries, strawberries, and mixed berries in the freezer for smoothies and cold treats. Feel free to use any berries you have in this versatile recipe! Canned coconut milk makes the creamiest and most “ice cream” like treat, but you can use almond or coconut milk from a canister as well. Adjust the amount as needed for the consistency you like.
Directions
To make nice cream, simply place your frozen banana and berries plus your milk into a high-power blender. I find it works best to let the frozen fruit thaw for about 15 minutes first. Blend slowly, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
Once it’s blended, add Yonder’s Flavorless Collagen and blend briefly to combine. This keeps the powder from sticking to the sides of your blender.
You can enjoy right away for a soft serve feel or freeze in a glass container for a few hours for a more ice cream like texture. If your family is used to traditional ice cream, try adding a tablespoon of honey while blending or drizzle it on top to boost the sweetness. Fresh banana, shredded coconut, or berries would also make delicious toppings!
Recipe Note
For the chocolate lovers out there like me, here is a delicious chocolate version of nice cream! It’s the perfect treat when you want to indulge without sabotaging your health goals.
- 2 ripe frozen bananas
- 3 Tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/3 cup canned coconut milk (or nut milk of your choice)
- 1 scoop Yonder Chocolate Collagen
- Follow the instructions above to blend all of these ingredients and enjoy!
- Top with chopped walnuts for an omega-3 boost or sliced almonds to add a healthy crunch. There are endless ways to modify these recipes so you can cool off this summer with a nourishing treat!
