The Yonder Affiliate Content Playbook: How to Make Content That Sells

Most affiliates never make a single sale. Not because they are bad at content, and not because their audience is too small. It is almost always because nobody ever told them what actually works.

So we wrote it down.

This is the Yonder Affiliate Content Playbook. It is everything we know about making short-form content that turns into real orders, written for the people in our affiliate program. Read it once, bookmark it, and come back to the hook bank whenever you sit down to film.

One promise before you start: you do not need a big following. Our best affiliate relationships have come from women with engaged, trusting audiences, not huge ones. What matters is that the people watching believe you.

First, know who you are talking to

Every piece of advice below only works if you picture the right person on the other side of the screen. And she is not one age.

She is in her 20s, or her 30s, 40s, 50s, or 60s and beyond. What she has in common across every one of those decades is this: she is conscientious about ingredients, purity, and testing results. She reads labels. She has bought a supplement before that did not do what it promised, and she has not forgotten it.

She is almost always in some kind of transition. Getting her body ready to become a mom. In the thick of the young-children years. Watching those children grow up and leave. Moving through perimenopause and menopause. Caring for aging parents. Different decades, same feeling of a body and a life in motion.

She is time-poor and she loves a routine. She takes real pride in taking good care of herself, and she is not apologetic about it. She wants to be the strength and the heart of her home, because being strong is what lets her show up for the people who count on her.

Here is what our own customer survey told us about why she chose Yonder:

  • 86.8% said clean ingredients was the reason
  • 74.5% named brand values, faith, or family and freedom
  • 69.7% said small, woman-owned and American-made mattered a lot
  • 47% found us through a friend's recommendation, more than any other channel

That last number is the whole reason this program exists. You are the friend.

So talk to your audience, in your decade, in your season. A 28-year-old creator and a 58-year-old creator should not be making the same video, and we do not want you to.

The five things that actually make people switch

You do not need to memorize a script. You need five true things you can say in your own words. These are the ones that move people:

  1. One ingredient. It is clean. Open the bag, read the label, that is it. Grass-fed collagen peptides. Nothing else. No fillers, no gums, no natural flavors, no sweeteners. For most people this is the whole reason they switch.
  2. It is actually flavorless. Most people have been promised this before and been disappointed. Stirring it into black coffee and drinking it on camera, with no change in taste, is one of the most convincing 10 seconds of content you can make.
  3. It is tested, and we publish the results. Yonder is certified Glyphosate Residue-Free by The Detox Project, and our Flavorless collagen is third-party tested for heavy metals. The lab results are posted right on the product page for anyone to read.
  4. Real founders. Sheri and Gina are true friends who have known each other since childhood, and they are mama bears about this product. Clean, tested, and honest is the promise. There is a face behind the bag and a human who answers the email.
  5. 10 to 20g of collagen per one to two scoops, independently tested for purity. Lead with the collagen number. The 9 to 18g of clean grass-fed protein is a bonus, never the headline. People take collagen for collagen.

If you only make one point, make it number three. Anyone can print a short ingredient list on a bag. Almost nobody in this category will show you their third-party test results. We do, publicly, and that is the hardest thing for a competitor to copy.

The first 1.5 seconds decide everything

A hook is not a sentence. It is three things firing at the same moment:

  • The spoken hook. What comes out of your mouth in the first breath.
  • The text hook. Bold words on screen, readable with the sound off, in the top third of the frame. Make it DIFFERENT from what you are saying, so the viewer gets two reasons to stay.
  • The visual hook. Movement. A pour, a scoop, a label flip, a zoom, your face already mid-sentence. Never a static logo. Never a slow pan into a title card.

The most common mistake is starting with a greeting or a wind-up. "Hi everyone, so today I wanted to talk about..." is four wasted seconds and you will lose more than half your viewers in them. Cut the first sentence you filmed. Almost always, the video is better.

Seven hook ideas that could work

These are starting points, not a menu you have to order from. Write your own, in your voice, for your audience. Notice how the same structure changes depending on who is watching.

  1. Secret reveal. "Nobody tells you your collagen starts declining in your 20s." Or for an older audience: "Nobody tells you what happens to your collagen after 50."
  2. Contrarian. "I stopped buying the collagen everyone on this app is selling. Here is why."
  3. Question. "Do you actually know what is in your collagen besides collagen?"
  4. Fortuneteller. "If you are starting collagen this month, here is what your next 90 days look like."
  5. Raw demonstration. "Watch what happens when I stir this into black coffee." Then just do it. No talking.
  6. Educational. "Three things to check on a collagen label before you buy it."
  7. Identity. "Things I do at 32 that I did not do at 22." Or "Things I do at 57 that I did not do at 37." Use your real number.

The six-beat script

Once the hook lands, this is the shape of a video that converts. Keep it to 15 to 40 seconds.

  1. Hook (1.5 sec). A confession, a number, or a villain. Never a spec sheet.
  2. The turn. Raise the stakes or open a loop. "And then I read the ingredient panel."
  3. Your authority, one line. Who you are and why you would know. One sentence, not a resume.
  4. One product truth. ONE. Pick a single point from the five above. Reciting all five sounds like an ad and people leave.
  5. The belief payoff. The line someone screenshots. Usually a value, not a feature.
  6. An earned CTA. Matched to the topic, said once, calmly.

Ten formats to rotate through

You will burn out if you try to invent something new every time. Rotate these instead, and add your own.

  1. The stir test. Black coffee, one scoop, spoon, taste. Silent, 12 seconds, on-screen text only.
  2. Morning routine. Yonder shows up naturally in your real morning, not staged as the star.
  3. The test-results read. Hold up your old collagen and Yonder, read both ingredient lists, then pull up our published third-party test results on your phone and say the quiet part out loud: most brands will not show you theirs. This is our single strongest piece of content.
  4. Three reasons. "Three reasons I switched." Fast cuts, text on screen for each.
  5. Myth-bust. "You do not need to take collagen on an empty stomach. Here is what actually matters."
  6. Answer a comment. Screenshot a real question from your own audience and answer it on camera. Highest trust format there is.
  7. Recipe or how-I-use-it. Smoothie, yogurt, hot tea. Show the scoop going in.
  8. Grocery haul or restock. Yonder in the bag with the rest of your real food.
  9. Talking head with a strong opinion. No b-roll, just you, one clear take you actually believe.
  10. Behind the label. Talk about the testing, the sourcing, the founders. Our audience loves this one and it is the one most creators skip.

Brand assets you can use

Everything you need is in one place, free to use, no permission required:

Open the Yonder affiliate asset folder

What is inside:

  • Yonder logos in black and white
  • Founder photos of Sheri and Gina, including the lab and behind-the-scenes shots
  • Product photography of the Flavorless bag: hero shots, square crops sized for feed posts, the bag with the AMEN mug, and a pour shot
  • Usage graphics showing the three ways people take Yonder

Several of the product shots show the certified Glyphosate Residue-Free by The Detox Project badge right on the bag. That badge stops people scrolling, so it is worth featuring as a pop-up in a video or a post to your story.

One rule that really matters: pull product photos from this folder and nowhere else. Photos of our retired white canister are still floating around the internet and in older posts. Our current packaging is the gusset bag. If a canister shows up in your content, your audience orders expecting something we no longer sell, and that is a bad first experience for someone who trusted you.

Beyond that, use them freely. Put them in your videos, your carousels, your blog posts, your link-in-bio page. We only ask two things: do not alter or recolor the logo, and never put the Yonder logo on a product that is not ours.

If there is a shot you need and cannot find, email us at affiliate@yonderfood.com and we will get it to you.

Keep creating. That is the whole strategy.

This is the single biggest difference between affiliates who earn and affiliates who do not. Not talent, not follower count. They simply keep making things.

We are not going to hand you a quota. You know your life, your season, and what you can sustain, and a pace you can actually keep is worth far more to us than a burst that burns you out in three weeks. Post at whatever rhythm fits.

What we will tell you is why creating regularly matters so much. Most of your videos will do ordinary numbers, and every so often one takes off. You cannot pick which one in advance, and neither can we. The only way to find those is to keep putting them out.

So make it easy on yourself. Batch it. Pick an afternoon, get dressed once, and film several in a row with different hooks. Then space them out over the following weeks. One afternoon of work can carry you a long time.

And be patient with the math. Someone usually sees a product several times before they buy. Your later videos are finishing work your first one started.

We are looking for a few people to go further with

We are not trying to collect a thousand names. We are looking for the right fits, and then we want to build something real with them.

The creators who keep showing up, who sound like themselves, and whose content actually moves people are the ones we come back to. Those relationships tend to grow into more: licensing your content for our paid ads, paid content agreements, and monthly retainers for our star affiliates. None of that is promised on day one, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. It is earned. But it is genuinely where this is headed, and we would rather tell you that now than surprise you later.

Film it so we can run it as an ad

This is the part that turns a hobby into income. When one of your videos performs, we may ask to run it as a paid ad from your handle. On Meta that is a Partnership Ad, on TikTok it is a Spark Ad. You grant us a code, it runs for a set window (we typically ask for 90 days, renewable), and your content reaches thousands of people who have never heard of either of us. You keep the credit, the follower growth, and the commission on everything it sells.

Whitelisting is a separate, negotiated agreement with additional money to you on top of your commission. We always ask first, always put it in writing, and always agree on terms with you before anything runs. When your content runs as a paid ad, the platform applies its paid partnership label automatically, and you agree to keep that authorization in place for the run.

We can only do that if the footage is usable. So:

  • Shoot vertical, 9:16, in good light. A window is better than a ring light. Phone camera is completely fine.
  • Keep your raw files. A video downloaded back off TikTok has a watermark burned into it and cannot be used as an ad. Save the original.
  • Watch your audio. Trending sounds are usually not licensed for paid ads. If you want a video to have a second life, use your own voice or platform-provided commercial audio.
  • Keep text out of the edges. Leave room at the top and bottom so captions do not get cut off or covered by platform buttons.
  • Say the product name out loud. "Yonder." It helps more than you would think.
  • Keep the language ad-policy safe. A video that uses approved language can be whitelisted. One that does not, cannot, no matter how well it performed. See the rules section below.

Captions and calls to action

Write the caption like you are texting one person, not addressing a crowd. Two or three short lines. Put the real substance in the first line, because the rest gets truncated.

Then one clear CTA. Not three. Some that work:

  • "Code [YOURCODE] gets you 15% off your first order at yonderfood.com."
  • "Link in my bio if you want to see the third-party test results yourself."
  • "Comment SCOOP and I will send you the link."

Do not send people to your DMs for the test results. They are public on the Flavorless product page. Send them there. It is a better experience for them and it is a page that converts.

How you get paid

Our program has three tiers, and everyone starts at Silver. There is no clock and nothing ever resets. You climb it once and you stay there.

  • Silver: 15% commission. This is where every affiliate begins, on every order placed through your affiliate link or your discount code.
  • Gold: 15% commission, plus a gift. The moment your very first sale lands, you move to Gold and we mail you a free bag of Flavorless collagen. One sale. That is the whole requirement.
  • Platinum: 20% commission. Reach 20 total orders and you move to Platinum for good. No deadline, no monthly reset, no requalifying.

A few more things worth knowing:

  • Your code gives your audience 15% off their first order, which beats the 10% off a first order that anyone can get on our site. That is a real reason for them to use it.
  • 30-day cookie on your link. If someone clicks your link and buys two weeks later, you still get credit. Share the link, not just the code, whenever you can.
  • Whitelisting pays on top of all of this. If we license one of your videos for paid ads, that is a separate negotiated agreement and separate money, and you still earn your commission on everything it sells.

You choose how you get paid: seven options

We pay through a platform called Tremendous. When your first commission is processed, Tremendous emails you directly and you pick your method:

  • Virtual Visa prepaid card, usable anywhere Visa is accepted with no waiting on the mail
  • Physical Visa prepaid card, mailed to you
  • PayPal
  • Venmo
  • Direct ACH deposit into your bank account
  • Amazon gift card
  • Target gift card

You can change your choice any time. No invoices, nothing to chase.

When you get paid: the 30-day seasoning period

We pay once a month, on the 8th. If the 8th lands on a weekend or a holiday, we send it the business day before.

Every commission seasons for 30 days from the order date before it is released. Each monthly payout includes every commission that has hit its 30-day mark by that date. Anything that has not gotten there yet is not lost, it simply rides along to the next month.

In real life that means roughly 30 to 60 days between a sale and the payout it lands in, depending on where in the month the order falls. A sale on the 1st seasons by the 31st and is paid on the 8th of the following month. A sale on the 20th does not season until the 19th of the next month, which is after that month's payout has already run, so it is paid on the 8th of the month after.

There is no minimum balance. Any commission that has seasoned, however small, goes out in the next payout.

If a customer returns their order

Our customers get a 90-day money-back guarantee, which is longer than the 30-day seasoning period. We pay you at 30 days rather than making you wait the full 90, and the trade-off is this:

If an order you referred is returned, refunded, canceled, or charged back inside that 90-day window, the commission on it is reversed. That shows up as a debit on your affiliate account. It comes out of your current balance, and if your balance does not cover it, it comes out of your future commissions until it is cleared.

It is not common, it is not a penalty, and it does not affect your tier, your rate, or your standing. It just means that particular sale did not end up sticking. And it is worth remembering that the 90-day guarantee is a big part of why people feel comfortable buying on your recommendation in the first place.

Track what works. Your dashboard shows which links and codes are producing. When something sells, make more like it.

The rules. Please read this part twice.

Yonder is a dietary supplement brand, which means there are things we are legally not allowed to say, and that applies to you when you are promoting us. This is not us being difficult. A single non-compliant video can put an ad account or a product listing at risk, and it is the one thing that makes an otherwise great video unusable for whitelisting.

What you can say

These are our approved benefit statements. Use this wording, or something very close to it:

  • Supports skin hydration as part of a daily routine.
  • Supports skin elasticity and reduces the appearance of fine lines.
  • Supports the body's natural collagen and helps maintain healthy skin.
  • Supports perceived hair thickness and volume.
  • Supports nail strength and reduces nail brittleness.
  • Supports joint comfort during normal daily activity.
  • Supports recovery after physical activity.
  • Supports bone health, particularly in women navigating midlife.
  • Supports muscle health when paired with regular activity.
  • The amino acids in collagen support normal gut lining function.

You can also freely say: collagen is the most abundant protein in your body, the body's natural collagen production starts to decline in your 20s, and collagen is found throughout the body in tendons, skin, bone, and cartilage.

On sourcing and testing, the approved wording is: grass-fed sourced collagen peptides, third-party tested for purity, flavorless, certified Glyphosate Residue-Free by The Detox Project, and third-party tested for heavy metals. Please use the glyphosate phrase exactly as written. Do not shorten it to "glyphosate free" and do not drop "by The Detox Project." The heavy metals claim applies to our Flavorless collagen only.

What you cannot say, ever

No disease language. That means no cured, cures, treats, heals, reverses, fixes, or prevents. Specifically off limits:

  • Anything about curing or treating arthritis, osteoarthritis, IBS, leaky gut, insomnia, or menopause
  • "Reverses aging"
  • Weight loss or fat loss of any kind, including "I lost X pounds"
  • "FDA approved" (no supplement is)
  • Blood pressure or cholesterol claims
  • Naming a specific medical condition that Yonder addressed for you
  • Before and after body photos

You can absolutely share your own experience. Just keep it subjective: my skin looks better, my hair feels thicker, my joints feel less stiff, I have more energy, I recover faster, I have made it part of my morning. Those are all fine. "It healed my gut" is not.

One naming rule. Yonder is not trademarked for coffee, so we can never say "Yonder coffee." We do sell a mushroom coffee on our website and it is called Faith Farms Mushroom Coffee. Call it by that name. Stirring Yonder into your morning coffee is completely fine and we encourage it. Just never phrase it in a way that sounds like Yonder makes a coffee.

Keeping it safe for Meta and TikTok ads

Meta and TikTok have their own rules on top of the FDA ones, and they are stricter than most people expect. This matters directly to you: a video that breaks these rules can never be whitelisted, no matter how well it performed organically. Two extra things to watch:

  • Do not imply you know something personal about the viewer. Meta prohibits copy that suggests knowledge of a viewer's health status, age, or body. "Struggling with menopause?" or "If your joints hurt every morning..." are the kind of lines that get an ad rejected. Talk about your own experience instead of diagnosing theirs.
  • Skip body-focused and transformation framing. No before and after imagery, no negative self-talk about a body, no implied physical transformation. Show the product and your routine, not a body comparison.

The disclaimer to add

Whenever you make a supported-benefit claim (any of the "supports" statements above), add this line as on-screen text or in your caption:

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

If a video is purely about sourcing, testing, or how you use it, you do not need the disclaimer. If you said "supports," you do.

The one rule that covers everything else: if you are not sure whether you can say it, do not say it. Or email us at affiliate@yonderfood.com and ask. We answer fast, and we would rather rewrite one line than pull a whole video.

A hook bank you can steal

Fill in the blanks and film. Starting points, not scripts. Put them in your own words and your own decade.

  • "I have been taking collagen for ___ years. Here is what I wish I had known on day one."
  • "Read the back of your collagen. If you see more than one ingredient, we should talk."
  • "Ask your collagen brand for their third-party test results. I will wait."
  • "This is the only supplement I have never skipped."
  • "My ___ year old self would not believe I do this every morning."
  • "Everyone asks what I put in my coffee. It is this, and you cannot taste it."
  • "Three things I check before I buy any supplement."
  • "I did not expect the ___ to be the thing I noticed first."
  • "If you are starting collagen this month, do these two things."
  • "I stopped taking the one everyone was posting about. Here is what I switched to."

When a video flops

It will. Here is the diagnostic:

  • Low views. The hook failed. The content behind it may be fine. Re-film the first three seconds and post it again later with a new opening.
  • Good views, no clicks. The CTA was missing, buried, or came too late. Say it once, clearly, and put the code on screen.
  • Good clicks, no orders. Usually an expectation gap. Make sure you are pointing people at the right page, and that what you promised in the video is what they find when they land.
  • A stretch where nothing lands. Change format, not effort. If talking-head is not working for your audience, try silent demonstration for a while.

Do not delete the ones that underperform. We look at everything, and content that does modest organic numbers can perform beautifully as a paid ad.

Start here

  1. Log in to your affiliate dashboard and grab your link and code. Your payout method gets set later, straight from Tremendous, after your first commission is processed.
  2. Bookmark the asset folder so the logos, founder photos, and current product shots are always one click away.
  3. Film the stir test. Twelve seconds, no talking. It is the easiest win in this entire guide.
  4. Film a couple more using hooks from the bank above.
  5. Start posting, using the approved language above so every video stays eligible for whitelisting.
  6. Reply to every comment for the first hour.

That is it. You do not need a studio, a script, or a huge following. You need to be the friend who told her the truth about what she is putting in her coffee.

We are cheering for you, and we mean that. Reply to any of our emails if you get stuck, or write to us any time at affiliate@yonderfood.com.

Affiliate content questions we get a lot

How many followers do I need to be a Yonder affiliate?

There is no minimum. Our highest-converting partners have engaged audiences, not necessarily large ones. A creator with 2,000 people who trust her will outperform 50,000 passive followers almost every time.

How much can I earn as a Yonder affiliate?

Every affiliate starts at Silver and earns 15% commission on orders made with your affiliate link or discount code. Your first sale moves you to Gold, which is still 15% plus a free bag of Flavorless collagen we mail you. At 20 total orders you move to Platinum at 20% commission and you stay there.

How do I get paid as a Yonder affiliate?

We pay once a month, on the 8th, and if the 8th lands on a weekend or holiday we send it the business day before. Every commission seasons for 30 days from the order date before it is released, so each payout includes everything that has reached its 30-day mark by that date and anything that has not simply moves to the next month. In practice that is roughly 30 to 60 days between a sale and the payout it lands in. Payment goes through Tremendous, and you choose from seven methods: a virtual Visa prepaid card, a physical Visa prepaid card mailed to you, PayPal, Venmo, direct ACH deposit into your bank account, an Amazon gift card, or a Target gift card. There is no minimum balance. If an order you referred is later refunded within our 90-day guarantee window, that commission is reversed and shows as a debit taken from your balance or your future commissions.

Why is my sale not in this month's payout?

Because every commission seasons for 30 days from the order date before it is released. Each payout on the 8th includes everything that has reached 30 days by that date, and anything younger carries to the following month. A sale on the 1st seasons by the 31st and pays on the 8th of the next month. A sale on the 20th does not season until the 19th of the next month, after that payout has already run, so it pays on the 8th of the month after. Nothing is lost, it just moves.

What happens if someone I referred returns their order?

Yonder gives customers a 90-day money-back guarantee, which is longer than the 30-day seasoning period, so a refund can happen after you have already been paid. If a referred order is returned, refunded, canceled, or charged back inside that window, the commission on it is reversed and appears as a debit on your affiliate account. It comes out of your current balance, and if your balance does not cover it, out of your future commissions until it clears. It does not affect your tier, your rate, or your standing in the program.

How do I move up to the Platinum tier?

Reach 20 total orders through your link or code. There is no time limit and nothing resets, so every order you have ever driven counts toward it. Along the way, your very first sale moves you from Silver to Gold and earns you a free bag of Flavorless collagen. Refunded or canceled orders do not count toward the threshold.

Where do I get Yonder photos and logos to use in my content?

Everything is in our affiliate asset folder: logos in black and white, founder photos of Sheri and Gina, and current product photography of the Flavorless bag including hero shots, square crops, and a pour shot. Several show the certified Glyphosate Residue-Free by The Detox Project badge on the bag, which works well as a story post or a pop-up in a video. Please pull product photos from that folder only, because images of our retired white canister still circulate online and our current packaging is the gusset bag. Do not alter or recolor the logo.

What health benefits am I allowed to mention?

Use the approved "supports" statements listed above, such as supports skin hydration, supports joint comfort during normal daily activity, or supports bone health, particularly in women navigating midlife. Never use disease language like treats, cures, heals, reverses, or prevents, and never make weight loss claims. Whenever you use a supports statement, add the FDA disclaimer to your caption or on-screen text.

How often should I post about Yonder?

There is no required number. We would rather you find a rhythm you can actually keep than hit a quota for a few weeks and burn out. Create when it fits your life, stay consistent, and know that most videos do ordinary numbers while every so often one takes off, so the creators who keep going are the ones who find those.

What is whitelisting and why would I agree to it?

Whitelisting means we run your existing video as a paid ad from your handle, using a Partnership Ad code on Meta or a Spark Ad code on TikTok. It is a separate negotiated agreement that pays you additional money on top of your commission. You keep the credit and the follower growth, your content reaches a far larger audience than it would organically, and you still earn commission on the sales it drives. When your content runs as a paid ad, the platform applies its paid partnership label automatically. Videos can only be whitelisted if the language follows Meta and TikTok ad policies, which is why the approved wording matters so much.

These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
