Zoodles with Meat Sauce & Fresh Basil

Home » Blog » Zoodles with Meat Sauce & Fresh Basil

This is a 20-minute meal. I love easy and deliciously healthy! You are going to need a simple zoodle maker for this recipe. I love the Veggetti Spiral Slicer because it is so easy to use, durable, reliable, and only 10 bucks on Amazon.

Zoodles with Meat Sauce & Fresh Basil

Prep 5 mins

Cook 15 mins

Total 20 mins

Yield 4 servings

Ingredients

  • 1/2 onion
  • 3 cubes (or cloves) of garlic
  • A few tablespoons of olive oil
  • 3 zucchini
  • 1 pound of ground turkey (or ground beef)
  • 1 16 oz jar of pasta sauce
  • Fresh basil
  • Pinch of pink salt to taste if desired

Instructions

  1. Place the zucchini in a bowl and set aside.
  2. Put two frying pans on stove. Brown turkey in one while you saute the onions in the olive oil in the other. On medium heat, saute the onions until translucent (about 4 minutes), add garlic to saute (about 1 minute).
  3. Add the jar of pasta sauce to the onions/garlic saute, then add the browned turkey meat to pasta sauce.
  4. Sprinkle with some fresh basil, turn the flame down to low and put a lid on to simmer and absorb the flavors, about 5 minutes.
  5. Now add the zoodles to the pasta sauce and fold in thoroughly. Put lid back on and let simmer/steam for about 3 minutes more. You are now ready to serve! Sprinkle fresh basil and parmesan cheese if you like.

My Story

photo of Grace Geoffreys - About Grassland ProteinsAs a cancer survivor from an early age of 30, getting my health back on track is a lifelong journey. Becoming a new mom same time I got Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer in 1999, I was determined to be there for my new baby son, since I had a brother who got the same cancer before me and did not make it. Health became top on my list and Bone Broth, being one of the most nutritious foods you can consume, has been and is a big part of that protocol back to health, beauty, and fitness.
