Be kind to Yourself with Heated Yoga

Home » Blog » Be kind to Yourself with Heated Yoga

Recently I added yoga to my weekly routine, “4 days a week”, to help aid in the healing of my gut, relieve my stress, focus on being kind and loving to myself and center and ground my focus to help shift my thoughts on the positive. I must say, this is a powerful practice.  I like CorePower Yoga, they keep most of the rooms in the 90’s. This relaxes the muscles allowing deeper stretching and tons of sweat, great for detox and circulation. CorePower Yoga has many studios in over 23 states nationwide. Men and woman flock to heated yoga. Each class is typically 20% men.

The protocol for improving and healing my gut: heated yoga, daily bone broth, daily probiotics, lots of water with ph minerals and psyllium husk fiber all make a big difference.

The Benefits of Yoga

  • Peace, Love, Self Care
  • Relieves depression
  • Detoxes through sweat and lymph drainage
  • Eases anxiety & stress
  • Aids in digestion & gut health
  • Builds core strength
  • Improves circulation
  • Improves your posture
  • Improves flexibility
  • Welcomes peace and calms your nerves
  • Nurtures your whole body, spirit, and mind
  • Deepens breathing which improves oxygen into your cells
  • Improves balance
  • Improved brain function

These are some of the benefits, not all of them. Yoga has many great qualities and is a nice break from weight lifting or a great added practice to your weight routines.

Check out these great articles below, there are links in the text.

Huffington Post writes about the benefits of yoga, Health Harvard Edu writes about the benefits of yoga, and Dr. Marcola always has thorough well-written articles, his yoga article talks a lot about the benefits of yoga for brain health and function.

I urge you to take up heated yoga and see what it does for you!

My Story

photo of Grace Geoffreys - About Grassland ProteinsAs a cancer survivor from an early age of 30, getting my health back on track is a lifelong journey. Becoming a new mom same time I got Hodgkins Lymphoma Cancer in 1999, I was determined to be there for my new baby son, since I had a brother who got the same cancer before me and did not make it. Health became top on my list and Bone Broth, being one of the most nutritious foods you can consume, has been and is a big part of that protocol back to health, beauty, and fitness.
